Constant Error Code 1 during Reindex

#1

I’ve been trying to access my ZEN for 4 days now. I have tried extracting swing wallet to a new directory and have attempted to reindex multiple times. All I want to do is move my ZEN to a more reliable wallet (Nano arrives tomorrow). Somebody please help, this situation is getting ridiculous.

Hi Zic,

Please see if this thread is useful: https://github.com/BuckCoin/buck-gui-wallet-win/issues/4

In case the server is actually a process running on the local machine, can you verify that your security software isn’t getting in the way?

Thanks for the quick reply. I have verified my driver/Java versions, disabled my security software and have re-opened the wallet. I will post results when I have some.

thanks again,

Some general notes:
You need to use the latest version of the ZENCash Desktop GUI Wallet - older versions have auto-deprecation of the ZEN core/node included. You also need to backup the wallet.dat file as a safety measure, It may be copied manually when the GUI wallet/zend are not running. The wallet.dat needs to be backed up regularly (not just once - say after every few outgoing transactions) and it MUST also be backed up after creating a new Z address: https://documentation.zencash.com/display/ZEN/Backup+Full+Chain+Wallet.dat

The wallet update procedure in case of problems is:
