AcceptToMemoryPool: joinsplit requirements not met

#1

I have a Secure Node running on Ubuntu 16.04 and I am seeing these messages in the logs:

2018-04-15 10:06:56 ERROR: AcceptToMemoryPool: joinsplit requirements not met
2018-04-15 10:07:12 ERROR: AcceptToMemoryPool: joinsplit requirements not met
2018-04-15 10:07:27 ERROR: AcceptToMemoryPool: joinsplit requirements not met
2018-04-15 10:07:48 ERROR: AcceptToMemoryPool: joinsplit requirements not met
2018-04-15 10:08:12 ERROR: AcceptToMemoryPool: joinsplit requirements not met

What does that mean?

#2

This means that someone has sent a transaction to the network mempool that does not meet the requirements for inclusion in a block.

#3

Eventually, I figured as much, but at first I thought there was something wrong with my node. Why is that being logged as an error? It’s not as if the node is not functioning properly. Determining whether transactions meet those requirements actually seems like one of the tasks of the node.
